Mission & Vision
NCKU School of Pharmacy is dedicated to advancing public health through pharmaceutical education, research, service and entrepreneurial activity. We strive to impart knowledge, to teach skills and to inspire a later generation of pharmaceutical and clinical researchers as well as pharmacy practitioners.

History
Established in 1993, NCKU Institute of Clinical Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences is the first academy that provides clinical pharmacy master program for pharmacy school graduates. Since 2003, NCKU Institute of Clinical Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences provides 2 PhD programs: Pharmacoepidemiology & Clinical Pharmacy and Biopharmaceutical Sciences. Our institute has enjoyed a national reputation of excellence and has been one of the best for curriculum and the quality of faculty and students for more than 20 years.
We began to enroll undergraduate students since 2014. The curriculum of PharmD program at NCKU Pharmacy School consists of 6 years of full time study that prepare students to be competence pharmacists with clinical skills and critical thinking processes.

Graduate Program in Clinical Pharmacy
The graduate program in Clinical Pharmacy Science at the NCKU is a dynamic and interdisciplinary field that aims to integrate fundamental principles of clinical therapeutics, pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacoeconomics and regulatory sciences to understand how to optimize patient healthcare outcomes, in the way of effective, safe and cost-effective use of medicines.
MS in Clinical Pharmacy
The curriculum requirements are lectures and pharmacy practice rotational experiences in NCKU Hospital. A master’s thesis focusing on clinical therapeutics, pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacoeconomics or regulatory sciences is also the necessity for MS degree.
PhD in Clinical Pharmacy
The PhD program applicants require MS degrees or MD/ DDS degrees with at least 2 years of clinical practice. A PhD degree requires the competition of at least 18 credits, including required and elective courses. A thesis proposal report is expected during the second year of PhD program and annual progress reports are anticipated for a qualified thesis proposal.
Graduate Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences
The Pharmaceutical Sciences educates students in a broad range of clinically-based disciplines that include pharmacokinetics, pharmaceutics, pharmacogenomics and drug discovery so that students are able to rigorously apply the methods of the Pharmaceutical Sciences to research at the frontier of modern medical science and in pursuit of better and safer therapies and drug products.
